Now is the time
With the release of Service Pack 1, Vista promises to be even more ready for customer environments. It's undergone a lot of updates and improvements, based on lots of feedback. The core areas of improvement include application and device compatibility, reliability, battery life, and security management.
It has increased support from hardware and application vendors with over 17,000 devices and 2500+ applications that have met the "Certified for Windows Vista" or "Works with Windows Vista" logo requirements. In addition, there has been a significant increase in device drivers available in SP1.
There has been a 25% to 50% improvement in file transfers. Boot processes and sleep recovery have also been improved, and there's an average of 5% to 10% improvement in battery life for mobile users.
